Bletchley Park Super Visit
The Mathematics Teacher Training Scholarships scheme runs CPD events for the Scholars throughout the year. This year’s Super Visit was at Bletchley Park.
A visit to Bletchley Park really does bring home where maths is used in every-day life. Covering engineering, maths and technology you will be able to visit the huts where code breaking took place, see the re-built BOMBE machine and many of exhibitions which are located across the site.
Not only did Scholars get a bespoke group guided tour around Bletchley Park they also received a hour interactive CPD session with the Learning Team on how to build an Enigma machine out of a crisp tube.
Maths Scholar Charlotte Withell tells us about her experience.
