I am keen to pass on my interest in Mathematics to all students and colleagues in the classroom. Within corporate banking, I had enjoyed working with both graduates and senior leaders who had a genuine passion and talent for solving numerical problems.

I know that when this year is over, I will have an advantage in job applications by being able to say I was a Maths Scholar, and hopefully this will help make me stand out from other applicants. I therefore feel really honoured to have this opportunity and look forward to sharing my training year with all the other Scholars

I think the classroom experience I had before starting my teacher training has been vital in getting me to the point I am at today and I’d recommend that people take any opportunity they can.

I have taken the first steps and am looking forward to the challenge of becoming an inspirational maths teacher over the coming years.

I can use my experience to help guide the young people within the school make suitable choices in their progression through to life post-school. I can help to shape the future work force.

A teacher can change someone's life; they can inspire someone to such a great degree... This teacher made me want to be that teacher.
