Maths can and should be taught anywhere and not be confined just to the classroom.

My advice to anyone considering teaching a lesson that is less structured, with little teacher support from the front, is to give it a go!

The best lesson I have taught so far was part of a series of lessons on circle theorems and the equation of a circle.

I have enjoyed the first term immensely and I am very happy with my decision to re-train and be a maths teacher.

There are many I've picked up over the last few months that I wish I'd have known before commencing an initial teacher training (ITT) course. Here are a few that I would like to share.
