I embarked on this teaching journey because I wanted to work and nurture the unique complexities each pupil holds and create a classroom which raises an inspired generation.

The benefits of the scholarship, especially so many memberships and subscriptions to outstanding organisations, will hopefully give me the best possible start to a career in teaching and education.

My advice is to try not to worry about the mathematics test. Just focus on being secure in the knowledge that you have, and remember to check your answers!

I chose the school based SCITT option over the university-based option as I was eager to get into the classroom and experience first-hand how the profession is done

I was really excited to attend Bobby’s training session, Financial Maths: How to Make the Finance of Maths Come to Life for Students; I am also a career changer from finance to teaching maths, so I really relate to his story

It is so important to make those connections and have friends that you can talk to about assignments and teaching.
