Choosing a school centred route allows you to build more of a presence in the school and invest more in your relationships with the students.

Because I chose the Schools Direct route, it meant I was in from day 1 integrating with other seasoned members of staff.

I liked learning about different ways of teaching and was really looking forward to implementing them in to my own classes.

My advice: do some research about the schools; you will spend a large part of your time and you need to be comfortable in at least one of the placements.

The Maths Scholarship will grant me access to fantastic resources and networking opportunities with others who share my passion.

Ultimately, it is important to remember that all training routes are valid. There are no training routes that are objectively better than others, it is a completely personal choice.
