After working 30 years in the City of London, developing software, I was looking for a new challenge.

Using the resources that the maths scholarship offers such as webinars and the many institutions I can join will be invaluable to my teaching.

For anyone considering applying, I’d echo my Training Manager’s advice: there is simply no good reason not to.

Do your research, don’t compare yourself to others, and just remember you have nothing to lose!

Not only is there access to resources and professional bodies, there is the added bonus of CPD development events where you can meet likeminded people and give each other the inspiration to motivate and challenge the next generation.

My advice to you would be take advantage of every opportunity the scholarships team have to offer.
